Yes, more graves I'm afraid. But this album consists entirely of one specific cemetery, the very lovely Newtown Road Cemetery, in Newbury, here in Berkshire.
The cemetery was actually closed to the public for about eleven years for health and safety reasons - a large cedar tree right in the middle of the cemetery was deemed to be unsafe, and likely to drop large branches onto the heads of innocent wanderes. these fears were confirmed when, crash, a large branch did break off.
The cemetery was considered to be full and thus is no longer in use for new burials, and has been replaced by the rather characterless Shaw Cemetery, a mile or two away. Visitors may wonder why it's considered full, when there is a large corner with no visible gravestones. Evidently this area was reserved for the graves of paupers, which were left unmarked.
These pictures were taken on our first warm and sunny day of the year, in May 2016. Pentax K-3 with a 100mm medium telephoto lens - a fine lens. Adjusted and cropped in Lightroom - and only one black and white!
